Hello stitching friends! I made some decent progress on my Scarlet Quince project and I think it’s important that I show you the before and after since this is full coverage. My goal was to make it to the red passion flower bud.
Stitch Stats: 407 stitches, 22.7% complete
Pattern: Passion Flowers and Hummingbirds by Martin Johnson Heade, charted by Scarlet Quince.
I can’t believe we already have 2 new members since we last posted. A warm welcome to Carmela and Jocelyn! Looking forward to seeing what they are working on as well as the rest of the members of our group. Join me in a blog hop by clicking the links below:

Thank you! I definitely like the parking method to keep my stitches neat. I’m comparing to my old stitches, they were awful! lol!

Oh my goodness you are so talented and patient. I dont know how you stitch with multiple threads. I would totally get myself confused. Beautiful!

Oh thank you so much! It does look confusing until you try the method and and realize it’s not to bad. Some people park with so many more colors though! I’m keeping mine within 2-3 10×10 squares. Since I’m working line by line it keeps it manageable 🙂 The app definitely helps too!

Now the app is just for that designer’s work right?

Right, it just works with Scarlet Quince charts. I wonder if HAED has a similar app as I’ve seen those stitchers mention similar stats.

It’s like charting your progress reading a book on Goodreads. Very cool.

Thank you! When I’m stitching, I don’t feel I’ve made the progress until I compare pictures and read the stats 😀 The hindsight drives me to stitch more! Yes, I’ll definitely take all the encouragement I can get ❤

This looks like a very difficult project to stitch but you’re doing great!

Thank you! It can get tiresome with the confetti stitches. I’m happier when I can see more of the same color coming up and park my threads.

I don’t know if counting the stitches would help me make progress or not ^^

Luckily, I’m not counting. The app gives me stats and it actually helps me feel better about the progress I made 🙂

Such confetti stitching is too daunting for me, but you’re making good progress !!

Thank you! It definitely annoys me when there’s only 1 or 2 stitches of a color. I don’t enjoy starting and ending my stitches, lol!

Beautiful! I love the colors you have chosen! It will certainly require a lot of patience !

I learn so much from your technique, I detest the little one or 2 stitches in some projects, you are going great guns
