I hope 2022 is off to a great start for you and that you have lots of great crafty plans in the works! I really do hope to share with you more projects this year. This year I’m doing the APQ Resolution Challenge for quilty UFOs and I also have a new craft (or two) that I want to share my progress on. Anyhow, let’s get to the Beeutiful QAL embroidery project that feels like I’ve been stitching on for forever! I’m still working on this second to last block and boy is it time consuming – from those tires I’m sure. Here’s where I was before:
And here’s where I am now! The truck is now complete and all I have left are the flowers and the bees. Love the cute detail in the license plate. You can see in the original print the year was 2016 when designed! Has this project been sitting in my UFO pile for that long??
We post an update on our own project every three weeks and encourage each other to make more progress and stay motivated. I’m looking forward to seeing how the rest of the SAL group has progressed with their projects this time around. Read along with me by clicking the blog links below:
Avis, Claire, Gun, Constanze, Kathy, Margaret, Cindy, Heidi, Jackie, Sunny, Megan, Deborah, Renee, Carmela, Sharon, Daisy, Anne, AJ, Cathie, Linda, and Helen
Happy Stitching!
now you’ve changed the number plate to 2022 you really will have to get all blocks & quilt finished now!

😆 it can’t just mean I finished that block in 2022!? Lol yes I will try for a quilt completion this year, if not at least the top 😉

It is so fun to see the truck complete and I love the update on the license plate. What a fun way to add the year. I participated in the APQ UFO Challenge for a couple of years and helped clean out some of my projects. (I should do it again, but do not dare add more to my growing To Do List!) Have you joined their Facebook group? I look forward to seeing your progress on this piece and your UFOs.

Thanks Renee! Yes I’ve done the challenge before and it was very helpful! I’m excited to see how much I can accomplish this year. Haha yes I understand that the challenge creates tasks for the month which is why I don’t participate every year. I’m not on Facebook but I’m able to see a few participants on Instagram ☺️

What a great idea on the license plate – adorable. Slow but steady and that truck bed is going to be beautiful!

Thanks Sharon! Yes I’m looking forward to playing with colors. I just need to make sure I use colorfast thread so I don’t run into the same issue I had with the bike basket floral block 😆 Glad this block is near the end otherwise I would have waited on the year, but I think completing this quilt top in 2022 is doable!
