Happy SAL Day and Happy Spring! I completed one more sunflower on Block 17 Bee Happy. This one is definitely taking more time than I thought… so many petals! Here’s what it looks like now with a more cool-tone yellow next to the warmer one:
I need your hep deciding which color to go next. Either the warm yellow again, so two flank either side of the bright one… Or another burgundy one, then the warm yellow after? I’ll tally the votes and hopefully we’ll have completed sunflower petals for the next update!
We post an update on our own project every three weeks and encourage each other to make more progress and stay motivated. I’m looking forward to seeing how the rest of the SAL group has progressed with their projects this time around. Read along with me by clicking the blog links below:

Happy Stitching!
I think I’d go burgundy and then the yellow again. Those flowers are looking so wonderful š

I agree with Sharon. Burgundy and then yellow but whatever you choose will be lovely š

This block will be so darn adorable with them fancy stitches.

This seems much more complicated than the other bee blocks, but still so cute! I am going to throw you another option ~ both in the darker yellow. For me either of the other options are a little too symmetrical. I like the idea of the darker and lighter colours being singles.

Thanks, Anne! I love seeing your view on design. I am drawing inspiration from Garden Answer’s (on YouTube) flower garden where they planted rows of these sunflower varieties. š

Maybe a little late for the vote but to me I like the burgundy better than the gold next to the yellow one. There seems to be a lot more work in this one than in the others. It also looks bigger but that could just because there is so much more to it. x

No, not late at all. Counting up the votes now as I need to get stitching on this piece before our next update! How is it already here again?

This is such a cheerful embroidery! I’d go for burgandy next as otherwise there won’t be a full flower in that colour but it will be lovely in either š
