How is it August already!? I actually am ready for fall weather 🙂 As a reminder, I’m working on the Beeutiful QAL for my SAL project, which is a free embroidery project from The Moda Bakeshop.
I finished up Block 12 – Bee Grateful, so that means mini dance time! To complete this block, I finished up the bee and traced the shape for the entrance onto Soft Fuse fusible web. I then soaked the block in the sink three times to get the printable stabilizer off. Once dry, I attached my bee skep entrance with a black blanket stitch for the finish.
Now onto the next block! Here’s my start on Block 13 – Bee Romantic.
Block 13 definitely has a lot of detail. My goal is to at least finish this block by our next update. The flowers in the basket do not have a specific stitch type given, but the directions suggest to get creative. So I’m excited to work on that piece last.
We post an update on our own project every three weeks and encourage each other to make more progress and stay motivated. I’m looking forward to seeing how the rest of the SAL group has progressed with their projects this time around. Read along with me by clicking the blog links below:
