I hope everyone in the states is enjoying their 4th of July holiday! With my day off from work I decided to finish up my Christmas ornament block from Plum Street Samplers. This is Noah’s Christmas Ark I: Crocodiles. I’m stitching these blocks on 36 count Porcelain Vintage by Lakeside Linens, using the DMC conversions. I did purchase a couple of the overdyed flosses for specific parts that will show off the variegation in future blocks.
Those crocodiles are just so cute! To the right of the crocodiles is the block from the third pattern release, Whales. I will definitely be using the Weeks Dye Works floss on the whales because the white is variegated with a cream and grey, it’s beautiful. I’m stitching the whales because I’m also listening to the Moby Dick audiobook as a stitch along/read along on instagram (#ralsal). To replace the crocodiles for Santa Sundays (#santasundayxs) on instagram, I will stitch the Giraffes to complete the part 1 release.
I also sewed up another grime guard as I was looking forward to another quick finish. I picked a feather fabric from my stash that has a little shimmer in it π
Looking forward to a little outdoor grilling today and for our city’s firework show this evening, which we can see perfectly from our front door. Happy 4th!
Happy 4th. Itβs nice to have a day off during the week and enjoy any activity. Stitches are cute and I can imagine the whales.

Lol! I know! Someone on Instagram said, “Only Paulette from Plum Street samplers can make a crocodile cute!” And that’s so true π

Yes, the whale block seems to be the only full coverage design in the series so far. I can’t wait to complete it so I can share with you all π
